Common Ground
A Day for Men
Dates:
Tuesday 21 April 2026
Saturday 9 May 2026
10:30 - 15:00
Each date is a standalone day – participants attend one date only. Exact location provided on acceptance.
Common Ground is a small-group day in nature for men who want time outdoors, space to be, and the chance to connect with others.
Taking place in Ewhurst, Surrey, the morning includes practical activity such as bushcraft or conservation work, followed by a shared campfire lunch.
In the afternoon we gather in the roundhouse for a facilitated Encounter Group – a respectful and supportive space for open conversation and reflection.
With a maximum of 8 participants, the day offers a relaxed and welcoming environment where men can step away from daily pressures, spend time in nature, and share experiences with others.
It's not rocket science, but it is science
The National Academy For Social Prescribing’s 2022 Evidence Briefing confirms that time spent in nature is linked to a range of positive mental and physical health outcomes including:
- Reduced blood pressure, reduced stress levels and associated symptoms, lower levels of cardiovascular and respiratory problems, and reduced risk of diabetes, obesity, and COVID.
- Increased wellbeing, including subjective wellbeing, reduced social isolation, increased happiness, and resilience.
